Comparison of the effectiveness of Azelik and Skinclear
The effectiveness of Azelik is quite similar to Skinoclear - this means that the ability of the medicinal substance to provide the maximum possible effect is similar.
For example, if the therapeutic effect of Azelik is more pronounced, then using Skinoklir even in large doses will not achieve this effect.
Also, the speed of therapy - an indicator of the speed of the therapeutic effect - is approximately the same for Azelik and Skinoklir. And bioavailability, that is, the amount of a drug reaching its site of action in the body, is similar. The higher the bioavailability, the less it will be lost during absorption and use by the body.
Comparison of the effectiveness of Skinoren and Azelik

Comparison of safety of Azelik and Skinoklir
The safety of a drug includes many factors.
At the same time, Azelik’s is quite similar to Skinoclear. It is important where the drug is metabolized: drugs are excreted from the body either unchanged or in the form of products of their biochemical transformations. Metabolism occurs spontaneously, but most often involves major organs such as the liver, kidneys, lungs, skin, brain and others. When assessing metabolism in Azelik, as well as in Skinoclear, we look at which organ is the metabolizing organ and how critical the effect on it is.
The risk-benefit ratio is when the prescription of a drug is undesirable, but justified under certain conditions and circumstances, with the obligatory observance of caution in use. At the same time, Azelik does not have any risks when used, just like Skinoclear.
Also, when calculating safety, it is taken into account whether only allergic reactions occur or possible dysfunction of the main organs. In other matters, as well as the reversibility of the consequences of using Azelik and Skinoclear.

Buy Azix-Derm in pharmacies Azix-Derm in the medicine directory DOSAGE FORMS cream for external use 20%
MANUFACTURERS Ranbaxy Laboratories Limited (India)
GROUP Antiseptics - acids and alkalis
COMPOSITION Active substance: azelaic acid - 200 mg.
INTERNATIONAL NON-PROPENTED NAME Azelaic acid
SYNONYMS Azelik, Skinoren
PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION Causes a moderate cytostatic effect (due to inhibition of the synthesis of cellular proteins), manifested in the normalization of keratinization processes in the wall of the sebaceous gland follicles; has an antimicrobial effect (primarily against Propionibacterium acnes and Staphylococcus epidermidis) both on the surface of the skin and in the sebaceous glands, as well as an anti-inflammatory effect (reducing the metabolism of neutrophil granulocytes and their production of free radical forms of oxygen - important factors in maintaining the inflammatory process). With long-term use of the drug, microbial resistance does not develop. Azelaic acid dose-dependently inhibits the growth and viability of abnormal melanocytes. The therapeutic effect for hyperpigmentation (melasma) is due to inhibition of DNA synthesis and/or suppression of cellular respiration of abnormal melanocytes. The therapeutic effect of azelaic acid in rosacea is associated with a decrease in the formation of pro-inflammatory reactive oxygen radicals. After applying Azix-Derm cream to the skin, azelaic acid penetrates the epidermis and dermis. After applying 1 g of azelaic acid to the skin (which corresponds to 5 g of cream), about 4% of the dose is absorbed into the systemic circulation. Part of the absorbed azelaic acid is excreted by the kidneys unchanged, and part in the form of dicarboxylic acids (C5, C7), formed from azelaic acid as a result of beta-oxidation.
INDICATIONS FOR USE Acne vulgaris, pathological hyperpigmentation, incl. Melasma.
CONTRAINDICATIONS Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, children under 12 years of age. During pregnancy and lactation, the drug is used only if the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus and child. Avoid applying cream to the breast area before feeding.
SIDE EFFECTS Rarely on the skin (mainly at the beginning of therapy): skin irritation, skin hyperemia, erythema, burning sensation, itching, peeling, which resolve on their own during further treatment. Allergic reactions (for example, rash) may occur. After applying the cream to the skin of the face, a burning and tingling sensation may occur, which disappears within 15 minutes.
INTERACTION The interaction of Azix-Derm with other drugs is not known to date.
METHOD OF APPLICATION AND DOSAGE Externally. The maximum duration of therapy depends on the individual picture of the disease and the severity of symptoms and is determined by the attending physician. For adults and children over 12 years of age, the cream is applied evenly in a thin layer 2 times a day (morning and evening) to previously cleansed (with mild cleansers and water) and dried areas of the skin of the face and, if necessary, the neck and upper chest, affected by acne. For the entire surface of the face, about 2.5 cm of cream from a tube is enough. The drug should be used regularly throughout the course of treatment, the duration of which depends on the severity of the disease. The minimum duration of treatment for melasma is 3 months. During the treatment of melasma, it is necessary to use sunscreens (UV B and UV A) in order to prevent exacerbation of the disease and/or re-pigmentation of the skin under sun exposure. In patients with acne vulgaris, significant improvement is usually observed after 4 weeks. To obtain the best results, use of the drug should be continued for several months.
OVERDOSE Currently, no cases of overdose of Azix-Derm cream have been described.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS Avoid contact of the drug with the eyes, as well as the mucous membranes of the nose, lips and mouth. If this happens, rinse them immediately with plenty of water. In cases of severe skin irritation in the first weeks of treatment, Azix-Derm can be applied once a day or the amount of cream applied to the skin can be reduced; Short-term withdrawal of the drug is also possible. After the symptoms of skin irritation disappear, regular use of the drug at the recommended dose should be resumed. Dermal melasma is insensitive to treatment with the drug. To carry out differential diagnosis, a Wood's lamp is used. Azix-Derm can be used in combination with other acne treatment methods. In this case, it is possible to adjust the dosage regimen of simultaneously used drugs. Azix-Derm does not have any effect on the reaction speed when driving vehicles or working with other mechanisms.
STORAGE CONDITIONS Store at a temperature not exceeding +25C. Do not freeze. Keep out of the reach of children.
Comparison of addiction in Azelik and Skinclear
Like safety, addiction also involves many factors that must be considered when evaluating a drug.
So, the totality of the values of such parameters as “o syndrome” in Azelik is quite similar to the similar values in Skinoclear. Withdrawal syndrome is a pathological condition that occurs after the cessation of intake of addictive or dependent substances into the body. And resistance is understood as initial immunity to a drug; in this it differs from addiction, when immunity to a drug develops over a certain period of time. The presence of resistance can only be stated if an attempt has been made to increase the dose of the drug to the maximum possible. At the same time, Azelik’s “syndrome” values are quite small, however, the same as with Skinoclear.
Comparison of side effects of Azelik and Skinclear
Side effects or adverse events are any adverse medical event that occurs in a subject after administration of a drug.
Azelik's state of undesirable effects is almost the same as that of Skinclear. They both have few side effects. This implies that the frequency of their occurrence is low, that is, the indicator of how many cases of an undesirable effect of treatment are possible and registered is low. The undesirable effect on the body, the strength of influence and the toxic effect of Azelik is similar to Skinoclear: how quickly the body recovers after taking it and whether it recovers at all.
Acne or rosacea. How to distinguish and what to do
When consulting with new patients, I discovered that people often mistakenly believe that they suffer from acne, while having all the signs of rosacea. Sometimes such errors occur in medical prescriptions. So, a person is sure that he has acne, while in fact he has a papulopustular form of rosacea.
How to tell the difference?
Papulopustular acne is often confused with papulopustular rosacea.
Acne | Rosacea |
The skin background is of normal color, possibly with isolated areas of redness. | The skin of the central part of the face (sometimes + neck and chest) is bright red. |
Comedones, papules, pustules. wide pores | Spider veins and spider veins, there may be papules and pustules. Comedones are very rare. |
The elements of the rash are located chaotically, not symmetrically. | Redness and rashes on the forehead, cheeks, chin closer to the center of the face. Most often they are located symmetrically on the right and left. |
There are no or very rare “outbreaks” in which the face turns bright and sharply red. | Frequent "outbreaks". The skin instantly turns purple from cold/heat/sun, hot drinks and spicy food, from a glass of wine, from the attention of others (being called to the board or to the boss’s office) |
The redness is not frequent and not persistent, it goes away quickly. | Redness of the skin lasts a very long time or is constant. |
Skin tolerates water well | Bright flashes of redness on any contact with water (regular washing) |
Redness and sensitivity of the skin occur as a result of the use of systemic or topical retinoids and quickly disappear after their discontinuation. | I have always had a tendency to flush my face since childhood. (Options - occurred after a severe sunburn, simultaneously with serious diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, endocrine system, autoimmune diseases) |

Approaches to external therapy for acne and rosacea are different.
For the comedonal form of ACNE , the drugs of choice, the most effective and reasonable therapy, will be local retinoids, such as Differin, Klenzit, Retinoic ointment, Retasol, Adaklin.
For the papulopustular form of ACNE, the most suitable products are products based on benzoyl peroxide - Baziron, Effezel.
In the case of papulopustular ROSACEA , the most effective and pathogenetically substantiated drug is Azelik/Skinoren, that is, 15-20% azelaic acid.
Azelaic acid, due to its anti-inflammatory effect, also works against any form of acne, that is, it will not harm any acne. But active and dermatologically aggressive anti-acne drugs, such as Baziron, can aggravate the situation with extremely sensitive and irritated skin due to rosacea. Therefore, if for some reason you do not have the opportunity to clarify the diagnosis with an experienced dermatologist, or there are reasons to doubt the correctness of the diagnosis, in general, in the case where there is no complete certainty - acne or rosacea, then preference should be given to drugs with azelaic acid and avoid additional aggressive effects on the skin. Prohibited: peelings, scrubs, gels, alcohol, electrical procedures .
Azelaic acid preparations are described in detail in the video Rosacea 3. Approaches to nutrition, lifestyle, and overall health of the body for acne and rosacea are generally very similar. The main thing is to remove sugar, dairy, white flour, red meat, and sausages. It is worth eating more vegetables (especially all types of cabbage), leafy greens, raw nuts, berries, fruits, and cereals - buckwheat, millet, brown rice, quinoa, amaranth. Drink plenty of clean, warm water. But with rosacea, there are also additional provoking foods - triggers of inflammation. Alcohol, caffeine, cinnamon, very hot and very cold foods. This is definitely worth paying attention to.
When redness and sensitivity have decreased, and you want to introduce other acids besides azelaic acid into your care, then you need to start with the softest and lowest percentage polyhydroxy acids, for example 5% lactobionic acid.
And how to combine pharmaceutical products of azelaic acid with moisturizing and other skin care products is described in the video Rosacea 5.
When it comes to care, you should also pay attention to gentle cleansing . Often, with rosacea, significant relief is brought by eliminating water from care, that is, cleansing the skin with milk for sensitive skin without rinsing. But external (and internal) products containing sulfur are suitable for both acne and rosacea.
Azelaic acid does not have to be used in the form of pharmaceutical gels. The Russian professional brand Arcadia has a cream
with the same concentration of azelaic acid as in pharmaceutical products, but with a more interesting composition, smell and consistency. And it seems to me that the burning sensation from it is less than that of pharmaceutical products.
On the page “A good cosmetologist advises” there are examples of pharmacy and professional care products suitable for sensitive skin with rosacea and rosacea.
By the way, there is no medical diagnosis for rosacea. From a medical point of view, the cosmetic problem “rosacea” is considered as prerosacea, that is, the early, initial stage of rosacea.
Cosmetic products alone cannot cure rosacea, but they can significantly improve the aesthetic condition of the skin. Such cosmetics moisturize, have an anti-inflammatory, soothing, softening effect, protect against external aggressive influences, improve local immunity, and have an inhibitory effect on bacteria and Demodex. I will give examples of some pharmaceutical products specially designed for skin with rosacea and rosacea . URIAGE, BIODERMA, AVENE, there are such creams in many other pharmacy and professional lines. In the same pharmacy series there are also tonal products specifically for skin with redness. Some of them have a greenish tint, which, when applied to red skin, neutralizes it.

Comparison of ease of use of Azelik and Skinoclear
This includes dose selection taking into account various conditions and frequency of doses. At the same time, it is important not to forget about the release form of the drug; it is also important to take it into account when making an assessment.
The ease of use of Azelik is approximately the same as Skinoclear. However, they are not convenient enough to use.
The drug ratings were compiled by experienced pharmacists who studied international research. The report is generated automatically.
