Vector lifting with Radiesse in Krasnodar

Radiesse is a modern cosmetic product that serves to rejuvenate the skin and stimulate the production of its own collagen. It is based on calcium hydroxyapatite, the unique composition of which allows you to maintain the effect longer than when using fillers based on hyaluronic acid (more than 12-15 months). The drug has been well studied by specialists and there is no doubt about its safety: it does not cause inflammatory reactions, does not migrate and is completely eliminated from the human body. Another advantage of using radise is its hydrophobicity: unlike hyaluronic acid, this drug does not attract water, which means it can be used in patients prone to swelling.

Radiesse consists of an aqueous gel carrier and microparticles of synthetic calcium hydroxyapatite suspended in it, in the form of so-called microspheres. Immediately after the procedure we see the filling effect. Once in the human body, the gel is gradually absorbed by macrophages and excreted from the body, and the microspheres are enveloped in collagen and connective tissue, thanks to the active work of fibroblasts. 2-3 months after administration of the drug, the carrier gel is finally removed from the body and the filling effect goes away. But being inside, the active substance of the drug stimulated the skin's production of its own collagen. Thus, we achieve the effect of not simply filling the necessary areas with gel, but the appearance of a dense frame consisting of our own tissues, which determines a longer duration of the result obtained. Therefore, Radiesse fillers are used to bioreinforce the skin, creating a framework that prevents the action of gravitational ptosis.

The essence of the Radiesse lifting technique

Today it is generally accepted that facial modeling is carried out using 2D and 3D techniques. Do not be confused by these numbers; all symbols have been introduced to facilitate mutual understanding between cosmetologists.

It is necessary to say about the Radiesse vector lifting procedure that it is an excellent stimulation of the body’s production of collagen. The basis of the drug is synthetic microspheres of calcium hydroxyapatite and a gel carrier. It is thanks to them that the necessary lifting effect is achieved.

Individualization of therapy

Before the procedure, the patient's suitability for therapy should be assessed, as well as the patient's need for anesthesia. The outcome of therapy depends on the patient. In some cases, additional therapy may be required, depending on the size of the defect and the patient's needs. Additional injections may be given, but only after sufficient time to evaluate the patient's condition. Repeated injections should not be performed earlier than seven days after previous therapy.

Ask a Question

To put it simply, Radiesse is a cosmetic preparation for non-surgical face lifting and long-term correction of deep wrinkles, and Radiesse vector lifting is a technique for administering the drug along Langer’s markings - the line on the face and body of maximum tension.

Regardless of the correction zone, the drug, with the vector injection technique, is injected according to the following scheme:

  1. after makeup removal, the cosmetologist marks the lines (vectors) along which he will work with a cannula, injecting the required dose of the drug intradermally;
  2. preliminary puncture sites are anesthetized with lidocaine.

The correct injection technique gives a natural lifting effect without distorting the natural contours and oval of the face.

You need to know that Radiesse vector lifting of the middle third of the face, temporal lifting, Radiesse vector reinforcement and other procedures involving the introduction of Radiesse are carried out by a cosmetologist with a higher medical education, who has been trained and received a certificate for the right to use the drug in his practice.

Correction of cheekbones with Radiesse filler

Beautiful high cheekbones give a youthful appearance. Today, it is only possible to “remove” such cheekbones without surgery using Radiesse.

Contour plastic surgery of the cheekbones with Radiesse gives a very good and long-lasting result, since the filler has a high viscosity, which is ideal for correcting this particular area. With just a few injections, the filler allows you to correct your cheekbones. This technique is characterized by the absence of a postoperative period and almost instant results.

With the help of Radiesse, new contours are formed not only of the cheekbones, but also of the cheeks, while taking into account the smallest anatomical features of the face.

It is noteworthy that Radiesse injections make it possible not only to enlarge, but also to make low cheekbones higher, and to turn thin and plump faces into normal ones.

Radiesse vector lifting – recommendations before and after the procedure

No special preparation is required for the procedure. Perhaps a specialist will recommend a vascular stage, but not always. Before visiting a cosmetologist, give up alcohol 3-4 days in advance; if you have any contraindications from the list above, be sure to inform your specialist about them.

After the procedure, there may be slight swelling and redness at the sites where the cannula was inserted. To speed up the process of recovery and regeneration, follow the following recommendations for 10 days:

  • do not visit baths, saunas, swimming pools;
  • exclude solariums and maximize sun exposure, use SPF +30 cream
  • do not apply cosmetics (foundation, etc.);
  • exclude peelings and scrubs;
  • exclude alcohol.

This is a basic list; after the procedure, the cosmetologist will give additional recommendations individually.

Combination with hardware procedures

Unlike most fillers, Radiesse goes well with hardware cosmetology techniques. 3-4 weeks after administration, procedures such as microcurrent therapy, radiofrequency lifting and even hardware massage can be used. However, in most cases, hardware techniques are recommended to be used before injection procedures.

It is not recommended to administer this drug in combination with thread lifting or any type of filler, be it hyaluronic acid filler or a history of non-absorbable filler. In case of a long-term multi-component rejuvenating program, it is better to leave the introduction of Radiesse for the final stage, 2 weeks after active cosmetic interventions.

How does it work

Radiesse, produced by the German company Merz, is a unique dermal filler that differs from conventional fillers in its mechanism of action. Interestingly, the drug was originally created to correct defects of the skin and subcutaneous matrix in HIV-positive people. This fact speaks in favor of the safety and inertness of Radiesse.

The active ingredient in Radiesse is calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA) dissolved in an aqueous gel. Natural hydroxyapatite is present in the body in the form of mineral salts of bone tissue. Its main task is to stimulate collagen synthesis. It is this property of CaHA that is taken as the basis for cosmetic purposes.

Gel microspheres with CaHA enter the dermis, where they activate the production of its own collagen fibers. This effect of Radiesse is long-term: from 9 to 12 and even 24 months. Hydroxyapatite itself, having started the cycle of collagen synthesis, is excreted from the body.

  • One time. Simultaneous impact on all problem areas.
    • The effect occurs:
  • gradually over 2 - 3 months
  • Radiesse or hyaluronic acid

    Fillers in the usual sense are hyaluronate. Today Radiesse is a unique original drug, since its basis is not hyaluronic acid. Yes, Radiesse does not have a powerful moisturizing effect, but it has a lot of positive properties:

    1. duration of action. Up to a year, and sometimes more, the drug has its rejuvenating effect;
    2. ideal for women who are prone to swelling. Additional hyaluronic acid supplementation in such patients provokes facial puffiness. With Radiesse there is only an improvement in the architectonics;
    3. replenishes soft tissue defects in different parts of the body;
    4. has 100% bioavailability. By starting the self-healing process,
    5. leaves the body without any consequences;
    6. reducing the number of visits to a cosmetologist for lifting: once every 1 - 1.5 years is enough.

    Compared to hyaluronic acid fillers, Radiesse is slightly more expensive. But the resulting effect fully justifies the financial investment in beauty and health.

    Preparation for the procedure

    It is important to choose a certified doctor and a clinic with positive reviews. The lifting procedure with Radiesse can only be performed by a cosmetologist who has completed a training course in this technique.

    Features of preparation:

    • If this does not harm your health, stop taking blood thinning medications (heparin-based, acetylsalicylic acid) a few days before the injections. If this is not possible, then the procedure will have to be abandoned.
    • Do not drink alcoholic beverages several days before the injection date.
    • Intensive cosmetic procedures should not be used for at least a week before Radiesse is administered.

    Important nuances

    The procedure takes about an hour. The injections do not leave bruises or severe swelling. The administration of Radiesse does not cause any particular pain. But everyone’s pain sensitivity threshold is individual. Therefore, to ensure maximum comfort for our patients, we use local anesthesia.

    Algorithm for working with Radiesse:

    • Examination by a cosmetologist. It is the doctor who determines how much the problem needs correction and chooses the type of drug.
    • Treating the skin with an antiseptic solution.
    • Marking conventional lines on the face with a marker.
    • Anesthesia.
    • Administration of the drug along pre-designated contours.
    • Repeated disinfection of the injection site with an antiseptic.

    What effect do you get:

    • The voids are filled with gel during the administration of the drug. This means that small wrinkles and unevenness are eliminated immediately.
    • Over the next 2 months, the active substance is released from the gel. Protective blood cells absorb and remove remaining gel naturally. CaHA stimulates neocollagenosis - the production of new collagen strands. That is, after 2 months the effect is obvious: the skin becomes younger and its elasticity returns.
    • Activation of collagenosis continues for 1 - 2 years. A powerful frame of elastic cords is formed subcutaneously. In fact, the previously depleted connective tissue of the dermis is gradually restored. The oval of the face is visually improved, deep wrinkles are eliminated.

    Rehabilitation

    After the procedure, slight swelling of the skin and discomfort are possible. To reduce these symptoms, cosmetologists recommend applying ice packs to the injection site. Several approaches of 1 - 2 minutes throughout the day are enough.

    It is important to remember that despite the natural mechanism of action, a foreign protein enters the skin. So the general rules of care are aimed at “engraftment” of the active substance, preventing inflammatory and allergic reactions:

    1. Avoid alcohol for several weeks after lifting.
    2. Sleeping on your back.
    3. Gentle skin care. Use of soft hygiene products. Limit the use of decorative cosmetics for 3 - 5 days.
    4. Use of local dermatological antiseptics. Your doctor will suggest them.
    5. If sun exposure is unavoidable, then it is imperative to use a cream with UV protection.
    6. Visiting the solarium and sauna is prohibited.
    7. Topical use of oils with vitamin E and fish oil is not allowed.

    In general, the rules are simple. The rehabilitation period lasts approximately a week. During this time, the gel is evenly distributed and synchronization of its work with skin cells begins.

    How dangerous is Radiesse?

    Most of the negative consequences of the procedure are associated precisely with non-compliance with technical conditions. To prevent complications, it is important to follow the following restrictions:

    • Radiesse is not used to increase lip volume;
    • not used for areas with thin skin - periorbital area, eyebrow, bridge of nose;
    • not used for the correction of facial wrinkles.

    Normal side effects from the procedure include minor soreness, itching, redness and numbness at the injection site. With proper care and healing, the discomfort goes away in 6 to 10 days. If the symptoms increase, this is a reason to consult a cosmetologist. If the injection technique is violated, granulomatous inflammation occurs. After it, subcutaneous nodules form with resolution after a few years.

    The uniqueness of the use of Radiesse is not only in the long-term presence of the active substance at the point of application, but also in the stimulation of natural tissue synthesis. So Radiesse gives you the opportunity to look younger with age.
