    6. Rinse off.

    It is important to remember that masks containing honey can cause allergies. The bee product can be replaced with olive oil.

    Precautionary measures

    Aspirin, as a substance of a chemical nature, should not come into contact with mucous membranes (for example, eyes), and should not be used in case of violation of the integrity of the skin. If there are scratches, ulcers or abrasions, you should hold off on cleaning. Otherwise, it will cause irritation and even chemical burns.

    The situation is similar with skin caused by bright solar radiation, frostbite, chemical damage, and also infected with bacteria and viruses.

    Important: aspirin-honey peeling is possible only with complete external integrity of the epidermis!

    The next necessary condition is the absence of an allergic reaction to one or more components of the mixture used. Otherwise, manifestations of skin dermatitis cannot be avoided.

    Cosmetologists do not categorically prohibit the use of such cleansing by pregnant women. However, it should be remembered that when carrying a child, a woman’s body has increased sensitivity and may react inadequately even to a procedure that was harmless at the previous time.

    Normal facial skin is least prone to inflammation and acne. But even for this type, there are several compositions that will help cope with minor problems, refresh the skin, have a tonic effect and make the complexion healthier.

    But it should be remembered that frequent use of acetylsalicylic acid in this case can cause the appearance of rosacea, make the skin excessively dry, and also increase its sensitivity. It is not recommended to use masks more than once every two weeks. And after each procedure, it is necessary to apply a moisturizing or nourishing cream to the skin.

    Features of cosmetic effects

    Crushed aspirin tablets in cosmetic mixtures have a peeling effect and gently exfoliate dead skin particles. This effect is determined by the chemical nature of the drug - the acid acts on the upper layers of the skin and weakens the connection between old and fresh epidermal cells. The skin becomes soft and smooth, small wrinkles disappear. Aspirin facial scrub also helps to cope with the problem of ingrown hairs. How else does acetylsalicylic acid manifest itself on the skin?

    • Fights inflamed pimples and acne. The medicine reduces the content of the main component in the skin that causes inflammation and pain, and also constricts small vessels, thereby reducing blood flow to the inflamed area. Redness goes away and pimples decrease in size. Aspirin is a good antiseptic, which helps it fight pathogenic bacteria that cause inflammation and the appearance of acne. The aspirin face mask has received a lot of good reviews from those who have used it to treat acne.
    • Visually “hides” acne. Contrary to popular belief, aspirin does not remove acne plugs from pores. Under the influence of the acidic environment of the drug, only the “outer”, oxidized part of the comedones, that is, the black dot itself, dissolves. In this case, the sebaceous plug remains in the same place, which means the effect of such “removal” will not last long - after a few days the blackhead will reappear in its original place. This method is good because you can quickly refresh your face and disguise acne before an important meeting or going out. To prevent inflammatory processes and get rid of the cause of blackheads, it is recommended to remove them completely. For example, in a cosmetology center or using special masks yourself.
    • Brightens. The acidic environment of aspirin whitens the skin, including lightening age spots and freckles.
    • Dries out oily skin. An aspirin face mask breaks down external sebum. Access of oxygen to the epidermis is facilitated, blood supply and metabolism are stimulated, complexion improves, and swelling goes away. The composition narrows the pores, which significantly reduces the risk of blockage and dirt and harmful microbes getting into them.

    For dry and sensitive skin

    Masks with acetylsalicylic acid are best suited for oily epidermis prone to inflammation and acne. However, in some cases, such mixtures can also be used for thin dermis prone to peeling and redness.

    If you have a dry type of epidermis, masks with the drug should be used with great caution, since they have a drying effect, which can lead to dehydration of the skin. To avoid this side effect, you should add olive or flaxseed oil to your formulations, and also choose recipes based on full-fat sour cream or cream.

    Mask and scrub based on oatmeal

    This composition carefully removes impurities, nourishes the skin, makes it smooth and elastic, and eliminates irritation. To prepare, mix 1 tbsp. l. crushed oatmeal flakes with 4 crushed aspirin tablets and 2 tbsp. l. kefir Spread the composition over the skin and leave for a quarter of an hour. To rinse, prepare a soda solution (1 tablespoon of powder per liter of boiled water). Wipe your face with a cloth soaked in mineral water.

    A scrub using oatmeal and orange peel gently removes dead cells, gently cleanses pores, and additionally nourishes and moisturizes the dermis. To prepare the citrus composition you will need the following components:

    • dried zest from half an orange;
    • lemon juice - 35 ml;
    • aspirin - 2 tablets.

    All ingredients must be mixed thoroughly. Rub the composition into the skin with light movements, paying special attention to problem areas. After peeling, leave the composition on your face for another 20-25 minutes. Wipe with a damp cloth and use nourishing cream.

    For this softening scrub you will need:

    1. Mix 20 g of wheat or rye bran with 35 g of dark honey.
    2. Let the mixture sit for at least a quarter of an hour.
    3. Turn three aspirin tablets into powder.
    4. Bring it to a paste using a small amount of warm water (no more than 15 ml).
    5. Connect all components.
    6. Mix.

    Apply the scrub to the skin of the neck and face and rub in for several minutes. Leave the composition on the skin for another 15 minutes, and then rinse with warm herbal decoction (a tablespoon of dried chamomile, nettle or calendula per 1.5 liters of hot water).

    With parsley and cream

    Dry skin needs cleansing just as much as oily skin. You can get rid of blackheads using a mask consisting of the following ingredients:

    • cream with a fat content of at least 33% - 40 ml;
    • juice from a bunch of parsley;
    • acetylsalicylic acid - 4 tablets;
    • butter - 1 tsp.

    6. Crush the aspirin and combine with melted butter.
    7. Mix all ingredients until smooth.

    Apply the composition with massage movements onto the prepared dermis. Leave for half an hour and then remove with a paper napkin.

    With whey and rice

    1. Grind 25 g of polished rice in a coffee grinder.
    2. Add 50 ml of any whey (tan, kefir, liquid yogurt, ayran, etc.) to the rice flour.
    3. Grind 4 tablets of the antipyretic drug and mix the resulting powder with 20 ml of water.
    4. Connect all components.

    Apply the mixture to a steamed face for a third of an hour. Rinse off with cool water. This mask effectively nourishes the skin, eliminates inflammation and flaking, moisturizes and nourishes the skin.

    Reviews

    Contraindications

    It should be remembered that aspirin is primarily a medicinal product, not a cosmetic product, and therefore has a number of contraindications. These include:

    • allergic reactions and individual intolerance to components;
    • pregnancy and lactation;
    • unhealed mechanical damage to the skin;
    • recent cosmetic procedures;
    • rosacea, skin diseases;
    • bronchial asthma.

    In addition, acetylsalicylic acid has a pronounced whitening effect, so it should not be used when tanning. Do not apply the product to the sensitive and thin dermis around the eyelids and above the lips to avoid dryness and the appearance of wrinkles.

    Origin of aspirin

    Acid face masks have appeared quite recently. Acetylsalicylic acid was first obtained in 1897. It was synthesized in the laboratories of Bayer AG, which later registered the resulting substance under the commercial name “aspirin.” The starting material for its production was ordinary willow bark. Decoctions from the bark of this tree were very popular in folk medicine of past centuries and were used as an antipyretic.

    Willow “infusions” have long lost their popularity due to serious side effects. However, the chemically obtained aspirin formula is considered safe for a healthy person and is of utmost importance in world medicine.
