Juvederm Hydrate is used for injection as a base. It consists of two main components:

  • hyaluronic acid. When it enters cells, it causes them to actively recover. It is also responsible for enhancing the natural hydration of the skin. The filler contains this component with a low molecular weight;
  • mannitol The antioxidant protects hyaluronic acid from rapid natural breakdown. It also protects the skin from the destructive effects of free radicals at the cellular level.

Juvederm Hydrate is injected using a thin needle at the border between the dermis and epidermis. This depth is optimal for maximum effect of the active components. The procedure using Juvederm Hydrate gel should be performed by an experienced cosmetologist. Only a specialist will be able to avoid touching the vessels during insertion, which will prevent the formation of hematomas.

Juvederm (Juvederm) what kind of drug is it?

Juvederm is a line of hyaluronic acid-based intradermal fillers that can neutralize or reduce the size of wrinkles and folds on the face.
Juvederm is also used to enlarge the lips and add additional volume to the facial contour in the area of the cheekbones and cheeks. Due to the inevitable aging of the body, exposure of the skin to negative external (temperature changes, sun, cold, medications) and internal factors, the skin loses its own hyaluronic acid, as a result of which the connection between the dermis and epidermis weakens, which leads to a decrease in skin tone and the formation of wrinkles. Therefore, starting from the age of 30, the body needs additional supplies of hyaluronic acid found in fillers. Hyaluronic acid, included in Juvederm injections, is produced as a result of bacterial fermentation of a natural strain of Streptococcus equi, which is non-pathogenic for the human body.

How does Juvederm work?

The main component of Juvederm gel is hyaluronic acid, which is a natural polysaccharide in our body. Hyaluronic acid has the ability to bind and retain water at the injection site for a long time. Gel with hyaluronic acid is injected into the base of each wrinkle using a syringe, thus creating a depot of hyaluronic acid. On the one hand, such a depot acts as a lining material that smoothes out wrinkles, and on the other hand, the skin is intensively moisturized and improves its appearance.

Characteristics of the drug Juvederm

There are several types of the Juvederm series:

Gel Juvederm Ultra 2

This form of the drug has the lowest gel viscosity and is intended for injection only into the upper layers of the skin. Thus, the gel is designed to eliminate only the smallest wrinkles: for example, wrinkles in the eye area (crow's feet), small wrinkles in the lip and forehead area. The duration of the effect is 6-8 months.

Gel Juvederm Ultra 3

It has a medium viscosity and is injected mainly into the upper and middle layers of the skin; Designed for the correction of medium-sized wrinkles, as well as for contouring (adding volume to the contours of the face in the area of the cheekbones and cheeks). The duration of the effect is 8-10 months.

Gel Juvederm Ultra 4

It has increased viscosity (compared to Ultra 2 and 3), and is intended for introduction into the deep layers of the skin. Indications for use are: correction of deep wrinkles (including nasolabial folds), increasing the volume of lips and earlobes. This is the most expensive gel from the Juvederm Ultra line. The duration of the effect is on average 1 year.

Gel Juvederm Hydrate (Hydrate)

Hydrate is designed to deeply moisturize the face and increase skin elasticity and firmness. It is administered subcutaneously through many small injections. Unlike the above, this drug is not intended for contouring and immediate elimination of wrinkles. This is a typical mesotherapy preparation that will allow your skin to become firmer, more elastic and velvety to the touch.

Gel Juvederm Volume (Volum)

It is used exclusively to add volume to the soft tissues of the face in the area of the cheeks and cheekbones. This gel has the longest lasting effect, lasting up to 2 years.

Juvederm Ultra Smile

This filler is designed for the area around the lips. It is necessary to use Ultra Smile filler if you are going to correct insufficient lip volume, unclear or uneven lip shape, the effect of drooping corners, nasolabial folds and wrinkles in the lip and chin area. The price of a procedure using this filler at the Absolut Med clinic is 12,500 rubles.

Juvederm injections are the only preparation based on hyaluronic acid that contains a 0.3% lidocaine solution, which allows all cosmetic operations to be carried out absolutely painlessly.

Gel Juvederm Volite (Volayt)

A highly effective new generation drug used in contouring and biorevitalization procedures. The main purpose of the drug is to restore the water balance of the skin and eliminate dryness, get rid of sagging skin, and increase its elasticity.

Features of the procedure

During biorevitalization, a specialist injects the proposed filler intradermally into the targeted area of skin.

The cosmetologist uses different techniques depending on the correction area and the density of the biogel.

Those parts of the body that do not have the opportunity to come into contact with surfaces are considered less traumatic.

Injections in the facial area

Taking into account the ability of hyaluronic acid to retain moisture in epithelial cells, it is possible to resort to invasive cosmetology not only to solve age-related defects that have already arisen, but also to prevent them.

This method of eliminating wrinkles is considered one of the safest.

During the procedure, the cosmetologist injects the gel at a distance of about 7 mm, after which small papules (no more than 3 mm) are formed in which the substance is concentrated. At the end, the specialist performs a light massage to evenly distribute the filler.

As a result, the dermis is moisturized and the relief of the skin is smoothed. The effect is noticeable immediately after the session, but has a prolonged effect - after a couple of weeks the situation gains momentum.

Injections in the décolleté and neck area

Due to the lack of fat, these areas of the body are more susceptible to premature aging.

The neck and décolleté are always open and are additionally exposed to heat, which is why biorevitalization is indicated for many women after the age of 30.

The procedure is carried out through the formation of papules located every centimeter. The difference lies in the direction of the injections:

  • The skin on the neck is pierced along a noticeable wrinkle
  • In the décolleté area - from the cavity between the mammary glands upwards, reaching the collarbones.

Injections in the arms

The skin of your hands requires no less care than your face, but this is most often forgotten.

Hands undergo age-related changes earlier than other parts of the body: they are subject to considerable physical stress, they systematically come into contact with household chemicals and are not protected from ultraviolet rays of the sun in the summer months.

Correction with biorevitalizant hydrate is carried out along the line of wrinkle formation, as a result of which the tone and hydration of the skin improves.

Correction of appearance using Juvederm injections

A cosmetic procedure, during which the gel is injected into the dermal layer of the skin using a syringe with a thin needle or cannula, lasts no more than 30 minutes. Minor redness, swelling and soreness of the skin may be observed for 2-3 days after the injection. Signs of injection intervention, according to reviews of Juvederm, disappear after a few days without the use of special therapy. In rare cases, nodules may appear at the injection site: you should notify your doctor about this side effect of Juvederm as soon as possible.

The duration of action of Juvederm for lips lasts 6 months - due to their high saturation with capillaries, for all other areas of the skin - about 9 months. On the earlobes, the results of correction last for 1.5-2 years. In general, the duration of the drug’s effect depends on the skin type, the technique used and the individual characteristics of the patient’s skin.

If after performing the procedure there are no complications in the form of swelling, the effect is noticeable immediately. Otherwise, it will take up to a week to see full results.

The retention period of the result depends both on the individual characteristics of the patient and on the type of drug administered.

Juvederm gradually dissolves, helping to reduce the effect it produces. If you are not satisfied with the result of the procedure, and you want to get rid of the resulting effect as soon as possible, resort to the hyaluronidase enzyme, which will artificially speed up the resorption of the drug.
