Many people believe that a boil is something like a pimple. That it will pass on its own and this is absolutely no reason to worry. However, it is not. A furuncle is a purulent inflammation of the follicle and surrounding connective tissue, and this disease should be taken seriously.
The appearance of a boil is usually associated with pathogenic microorganisms (most often staphylococci). If you find a boil or some kind of purulent formation on your body, you need to consult a dermatologist.
What is the danger of a burst boil?
Boil is an acute infectious inflammation of the hair follicle. It is caused by Staphylococcus aureus. The bacterium enters the body through wounds or as a result of poor hygiene. By squeezing a boil, like a regular pimple, with two fingers, there is a risk of introducing an infection to healthy skin around the inflammation, or driving it even further into the deeper layers of the epidermis. Getting even deeper, staphylococcus penetrates the blood, the infection spreads throughout the body and can cause:
The most dangerous inflammations are on the face - forehead, nose and nasolabial triangle. Pus from the compaction can travel directly to the brain along with the bloodstream. Such inflammations require treatment only in a hospital. When the boil has burst, you need to see a doctor for some time and take antibiotics. When a boil occurs on the body, hospitalization is not necessary; you can get by with home treatment.
Complications of tooth abscess

- in 95% of cases it guarantees complete recovery or stable remission (there are no symptoms, the disease stops progressing);

- mediastitis - a purulent process in the apical part of the root damages the mucous membrane, exudate through the blood or lymph enters the mediastinum of the chest (risk of bleeding, damage to the arteries);
- sepsis - pathogenic microflora enters the blood, and then into the body, the functioning of organ systems is disrupted, and death is possible.
