Peeling lotion: what skin is it suitable for, TOP 5 best

Human skin performs an important function - it protects the body from the external environment. But she herself is exposed to many negative factors: heat, frost, strong wind. In addition, there is a layer of makeup on the face. All this does not benefit the dermis; signs of withering appear on it. Cosmetologists have developed many procedures that restore youth and freshness to the skin. But not all women want or have the opportunity to spend money and time visiting salons. For them, L'Oréal Paris specialists have developed a unique line of Revitalift Laser x3 products, which includes a night peeling lotion to combat age-related changes.

Features of the category of funds

Peelings, produced in the form of lotions, carefully cleanse the skin of impurities and exfoliate dead skin particles of the epidermis. That is why even professional products (for example, the Holi Land brand) can be used at home.

Lotions are water-alcohol solutions that contain beneficial substances, but in lower concentrations than salon peelings. When used correctly, they cannot harm the skin.

Due to their mild effect, lotions are more suitable for the prevention of various problems:

  • pigmentation;
  • dull, uneven skin tone;
  • wrinkles;
  • withering of the epidermis;
  • decrease in its tone;
  • increased activity of the sebaceous glands, etc.

Efficiency of application

With regular use of peeling lotion, the skin begins to gradually renew itself . This manifests itself in the form of slight peeling. Of course, using the product will not achieve the same effect as from salon procedures. But it will be quite possible to refresh, slightly tighten the skin, improve complexion and minimize the severity of wrinkles.

Also, peeling lotions activate blood circulation, stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, even out the texture of the dermis, and have an anti-inflammatory effect. They reduce the appearance of pores and regulate sebum production.

By the way. Most often, peeling lotions are recommended for owners of oily, combination, and problem skin. Due to their ethanol content, they are not always suitable for dry skin.

TOP 5 brands

When purchasing, pay attention to the composition of the peeling lotion. Active substances are listed at the beginning of the ingredient list. If acids, vitamins, and plant extracts are in the second half of the list of components, their benefit is minimal. Below you will find a detailed description of popular lotions with a peeling effect. It is advisable to buy this or that product for home use after consulting a cosmetologist familiar with the characteristics and problems of your skin.

L'Oreal Paris Revitalift Laser x3

The manufacturer - the French company L'Oreal - positions this night lotion as an effective remedy against age spots, wrinkles and dull, uneven complexion. The drug is included in the category of anti-aging cosmetics (40+). Thanks to the content of 3% glycolic acid, the lotion solves the following problems:

  • reduces the severity of wrinkles on the forehead, reduces the depth of the nasolabial and eyebrow folds;
  • brightens the skin, improves its tone, eliminates dull appearance;
  • evens out the texture of the epidermis;
  • exfoliates dead skin cells;
  • reduces pigmentation;
  • stimulates skin renewal.

Attention! The manufacturer promises noticeable results a month after starting to use the product.

Night peeling from L'Oreal is suitable for nightly care of aging, mature skin of any type. Using a cosmetic disc, distribute the lotion over the cleansed face and neck. The area around the eyes is not treated. After this, you can use your usual skincare products. During the daytime, you should protect your skin with a foundation with an SPF of 15 or more. Peeling is available in 125 ml bottles and costs about 800–900 rubles.

The Revitalift Laser x3 series also includes day and night creams and facial serum.

GIGI Medic Peel Acne Peel

The Israeli brand produces cosmetics for professional use, and Medic Peel is no exception. The composition contains 6 acids: lactic, salicylic, phytic, trichloroacetic, retinoic and undecylenic, as well as witch hazel extract and antioxidants. Taken together, all this has the following effect:

  • relieves inflammation;
  • controls the functioning of the sebaceous glands;
  • eliminates blackheads from the skin;
  • reduces the appearance of pores;
  • suppresses the development of bacteria that cause acne;
  • refreshes and rejuvenates the skin;
  • lightens post-acne and pigmentation;
  • prevents the development of rosacea;
  • strengthens blood vessels;
  • tones and soothes the epidermis;
  • relieves redness and irritation.

Peeling lotion from GIGI is recommended for oily, combination, problem skin suffering from acne, seborrhea, and demodicosis.

Directions for use: spread the product over the face with a brush, ignoring the skin of the eyelids, rinse after 10 minutes. After the peeling lotion, the skin becomes clean, matte, and the appearance of pores, age spots and acne decreases. Since the product is intended for salon use, it is not cheap: about 6,000 rubles for a 50-ml bottle.

By the way. In the same series, GIGI produces whitening and anti-aging preparations, as well as Retinol Forte peeling lotion for oily epidermis.

Peeling lotions Holy Land Cosmetics

A company from Israel produces professional cosmetics for salons. But its range also includes products that can be used at home. 8. Cost: about 1200 rubles.

Renew Complex Peel Solution

Israeli peeling lotion has a rich composition:

  • acids - phytic, glycolic, salicylic;
  • oils - geranium, thyme, tea tree;
  • extracts - white willow bark, soapwort, cinnamon and other components.

Renew lotion soothes inflamed skin, exfoliates it and prevents the occurrence of comedones. Evens out the tone and texture of the skin. Used in the treatment of acne, to eliminate pigmentation and scars (both old and new), to prevent skin aging. Peeling lotion is especially indicated for owners of oily, problematic, combination types of epidermis. Age restrictions: 25+.

The drug is available in a 250 ml bottle and costs approximately 2.5 thousand rubles. It is used in the salon as a pre-peeling preparation, and at home it serves as a complete skin care and exfoliating agent. A cotton swab or cosmetic disc is soaked in peeling lotion and wiped over the previously cleansed face in a circular motion. The drug is not washed off. At night, moisturize the skin with cream, and during the day use a sunscreen with SPF of 15.

Pico Shot Baby Peel Lotion

The Japanese brand's peeling lotion contains glycolic, lactic, phytic, malic acids, extracts of artichoke, bearberry, clove and wormwood flowers, lavender and rosemary oils, as well as arginine, silver oxide and other components. Gently exfoliates dead skin particles of the epidermis, leaving the skin matte, elastic, and radiant. Evens out complexion, prepares the skin for further care, improving the penetration of active ingredients. Prevents the occurrence of comedones. Does not dry out the skin, gives it elasticity, firmness, and protects dermal cells from aging.

Having a light texture, the rejuvenating anti-aging peeling lotion is suitable for all types of epidermis, but is especially recommended for rough, oily, problematic skin with enlarged and clogged pores. Can be used on the décolleté and the entire body.

Directions for use: Wipe the skin 2-3 times a week using a cosmetic disc or cotton swab, avoiding vigorous movements. In this case, you need to focus on the condition of the dermis: dry, thin skin is usually treated less frequently, using less peeling lotion. Particular attention should be paid to the T-zone and areas with age spots. The cost of a 100 ml bottle, which is enough for about six months of use, is about 4,000 rubles.

Attention! Peeling lotions are sold in cosmetics stores, including online. Products from lines intended for salons (Holy Land, etc.) can be found in retail outlets that sell professional cosmetics.

Honest review: L'Oreal Paris Revitalift Laser X3 acid peeling

I love acids in skincare because they do everything at once. Mass brands rarely produce acids that actually work, and this is understandable. After all, before releasing such a product, you need to make sure that every consumer is aware of all the nuances and precautions for use, and there are many of them. And that’s why it’s very nice that L’Oreal has released a product that works, but is also safe.

At first I was confused by the inscription “3% glycolic + fruit acids”. What does it mean? Three percent in total or three percent just glycolic? There is no additional information on the Russian-language L'Oreal website. To be honest, this is some kind of mockery, not a site. In the end, I found out that they meant three percent glycolic acid, but they did not indicate the amount of fruit acids. And on websites in other countries they indicate “3% glycolic + alpha-hydroxy acid.” But glycolic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid! In general, nothing useful can be learned on these sites.

Another drawback of the Russian version of the product is packaging. She's beautiful, but uncomfortable. The lotion itself is thick, and the neck is very narrow, and the bottle has to be shaken vigorously in order to get something out of it. By the way, the Kenzo brand has a very similar Amazing Exfoliating Water lotion with convenient packaging. But it costs almost three times more.

But the Revitalift lotion itself turned out to be effective and at the same time very soft. So soft that you can notice the result only after two weeks of daily use. I think for newcomers to acid care and people with sensitive skin, this is right on target: it’s simply impossible to overdo it with acids with this lotion. You need to use it after washing your face: pour it onto a cotton pad and wipe your face. For the first 10 minutes there will be a strong feeling of stickiness, but it will pass. On top you need to use your usual night care.

And lastly: the lotion definitely does not lighten age spots, as they promise on the packaging. And not so much because it is a weak remedy, but because it is extremely difficult to get rid of age spots in general. But it will do everything that an acid treatment is supposed to do: reduce fine dry wrinkles, add radiance, softness and even clean out pores. And despite the fact that it is presented as an anti-aging product, it can be used at any age. Because it simply exfoliates well.

Contraindications for use

Homemade peeling lotions usually have no serious contraindications. The main ones are allergies, individual intolerances. The alcohol contained in lotions can irritate sensitive, dry, damaged dermis. You should not use this peeling if there are wounds, cuts, etc. on the skin. Contraindications for professional products in this category are pregnancy and lactation. Sometimes - some diseases of the skin or internal organs.

Before using salon cosmetics on your own, you should definitely consult a doctor.

Opinion of cosmetologists

Professionals rarely express opinions about cosmetics intended for home use. However, they can recommend products from a certain brand that are suitable for a particular skin type.

However, not all cosmetologists consider home peeling a good solution.

Experts also advise how to properly care for your skin after cleansing and exfoliating. For example, sunscreen cosmetics after any peeling are mandatory.

My ideal facial treatment from L'oreal

Good day to all. Today I want to share with you my facial skin care routine, which turned out to be... masculine. I always love reading about other authors' facial care products. I'm always interested in combinations of certain products on skin similar to mine. But, until some time, I could not find my way out and, after finishing the next remedy (or set of remedies), I again went in search of something else, without dwelling on anything particularly.

With these tools everything is different. I started using them in the spring and am still loyal to them. How I managed to try men's products can only be explained by a terrible interest in all the products I have not yet tried. This is going to be a long post, so go grab a cup of tea if you like. But what came of it, read on.

A little preface: Combination skin. In the summer, the oily T-zone is especially noticeable, there are blackheads, sometimes pimples pop up due to excessive oiliness, and there were also closed subcutaneous areas on the forehead. In winter it becomes almost dry, reacts poorly to all strongly drying washes and asks for cream without having time to let the tonic dry. I prefer to use care products in lines or series that include several products. My experience shows that this makes sense. It is possible to easily find suitable products from different lines or brands, but as a rule, if you take products from one line, you don’t even need to think about it.

Let's move on to the first product.

Detailed opinion:
This was the first product I bought in this line.
Then spring was already becoming quite warm like summer and, apparently, it was the mention of the “ice effect” that made me buy this gel. I remember that men's skin is almost 30% thicker than women's and therefore they require more effective cleansing. It’s hard for me to say whether this fact was taken into account when creating this gel. In the summer, I always have problems with this, the T-zone is shiny by lunchtime and if this is not eliminated in time, then hello acne. Because of this, very often in the summer we injure our skin by drying it out with vigorous washes, which is why the oil content of the sebum only increases. This gel turned out to be suitable for me according to several criteria: it cleanses my face very well from impurities both in the morning and in the evening, and if I allow myself not to apply anything moisturizing for some time, my face will not turn into a parched desert (from one extreme to the other ). I really like the consistency of the gel. It's not overly thick. I know that many perceive thickness as a positive phenomenon, but this is exactly the golden mean. Its thickness will easily allow you to use it to the end without cutting or pressing on the bottle, and without spilling on your hands when opening it. No less important for me was that it foams well! Yes, yes, so often I bought products labeled gel, which remained that way, or a foam/gel-foam product, which never foamed and only caused bewilderment. This gel foams very easily, the foam is not too thick, but soft, gentle, and easily washed off with water. I would describe the scent as citrusy and masculine. It's a little harsh, but quite pleasant and invigorating in the morning. I didn't even get tired of it when the first bottle was gone. It doesn't stay on the skin for long. And most importantly - the cooling effect. Oh yeah! In women's washes we are so often promised the effect of freshness, vigor, sometimes you can see something refreshingly sea, but I have never seen a cooling effect. Here it works as it should! I'm really sad that I can't apply Lush's Mega Mint Mask every hot summer morning, but I've found a solution. Of course, the gel will not cool the skin AS much as the above mask, but such a pleasant chill that feels like a sea breeze really made me want to wake up in the morning. It's an ideal product for summer. Also on the jar there is such an inscription as “cryo-tonic”, but I don’t know what the manufacturer wanted to say by this, whether the product does not require a tonic after itself, or whether “cryo” is something cooling in this gel... it’s not clear. But as you can see below, I still use tonic. Period of use - 4 months. Rating:

L'Oréal Men Expert Hydra Energetic Recharging Moisturizer (Turbo Booster)

Detailed opinion:
I thought that since I liked the wash so much, I need to buy something moisturizing, preferably from the same series, to use in tandem.
In shape and color it reminds me of the well-known nectar from Lumene. This gel captivated me with its ability to moisturize! Just like the previous gel, I started using it in the spring, and you know, your skin can be very moody in the off-season. Before that, I rather perceived all moisturizers as something simply emollient, that is, you washed your face, it felt like apricots and you applied cream, just to avoid it. This gel made me feel for the first time that very moisturizing of my skin, as if water had filled every cell from the inside! I just don't know how else to describe it. I had my doubts about it since it is also a gel. Having used gels before, I knew that they were usually super sticky. Here the manufacturer publicly assures that he is not like that. This is a bit of a lie. It feels sticky for about 10 minutes after use. At this time, I try not to touch my face and let it absorb quietly. Afterwards I apply makeup and everything looks great. I can’t even notice another effect that I really liked. Despite the fact that the skin gets oily in the summer and we are all looking for something mattifying, I think this gel gives my combination skin a healthy
glow that has nothing to do with oiliness.
I want to admit that overly matte skin does not seem so attractive and natural to me, although it is better than being “pancake”, of course. But it was this healthy glow and the effect of nourishing the skin that I really liked. The aroma is the same as the first product. Quite economical as I only need two pumps for my entire face. By the way, the pump is very solid, it is clear that it is not flimsy and dispenses the product very carefully, without “spitting”, even when it runs out. This is already my second jar and it is still almost full, but when you start actively using it, the lower platform gradually rises up along with the gel, which allows you to use it to the last drop. I really like this original packaging. Usage period: 3.5 months. Rating:

In tandem, both products work great. Suffice it to say that throughout the summer I completely forgot what acne from the sebaceous glands is. I would like to note that when I just started using it they were there, and quite a lot. Perhaps the skin reacted this way to the change in care, perhaps they began to somehow actively remove all the accumulated crap from under the skin, but I waited out this stage. Over the summer I didn’t have a single problem with my skin, even in “those days.” The antibacterial effect is simply amazing. The subcutaneous patches that were present on the forehead at the beginning of use also disappeared. Nothing jumped up even when I, having forgotten myself, touched my face with a dirty hand. (This is my main article on jumping acne in my opinion)

L'Oréal Men Expert Hydra Energetic Eye Roll-On
Photo:

Detailed opinion:
Well, in addition, I decided to buy an eye roller.
It looks like a transparent gel that doesn’t need swatching. Previously, I only used Yves Rocher, which did absolutely nothing. This video has become a great addition to the morning ritual of a cheerful chill! I applied it only under my eyes and they immediately woke up. Of all the products, the roller gives the most noticeable cooling effect. Just what you need for your eyes. It's impossible not to wake up =). It relieves minor swelling and that’s basically it. Sticky again in the first minutes of application, but it dries quite quickly. I don't demand more from him. The roller itself is metal, the size is ideal for applying under the eyes, it does not stick. It does not have a pronounced aroma. Period of use - 3 months. Rating:

Detailed opinion:
I bought this wash to replace the previous one, since the hot summer is over and the cooling effect seems to be of no use, but I decided not to part with my care in the winter.
This is a gel with black coal. And I readily believe this, looking at the swatch. To be honest, at first it was quite unusual, I was afraid that I would become an idiot, but everything was fine. The gel is more like a cream, very thick, matte black. The aroma is identical to the entire line. It also foams readily and cleans well. (I also tried cosmetics - it washes off). It's the off-season now and the skin is not capricious with it yet. But squeezing it out of a bottle is no longer so convenient. Almost everything is the same, only without the cooling effect, which seems to be great for winter. I use it and am not happy with it. Duration of use - 1 month Rating:

L'Oreal Men Expert Hydra Energetic Ice Cool After Shave Lotion

Expanded opinion:
This is an aftershave lotion.
But, due to the lack of facial hair, I simply use it as an alcohol lotion. I know that not everyone will approve of such measures, but I want to make a reservation that, unlike many domestically produced lotions, the alcohol concentration here is noticeably lower. (30 versus 67 in ours). I use it, again, only when necessary and only spot-on. There were days this summer that were so hot that my T-zone could start to shine before I even got to work. It was on such days that I carefully swiped this lotion over the T-zone with a cotton swab and only once. Helped me not to shine too badly. I know about mattifying creams, well... that’s how retrograde I am. The aroma was different from other products, it smells like men's cologne, there is no other way to describe it. It is clear that the aroma does not linger for long and after half an hour I no longer felt it. The jar is nice, made of glass, fits comfortably in the hand. The dispenser didn’t disappoint either, you won’t be able to spill too much on yourself. It’s difficult to evaluate, since it seems like I didn’t use it exactly for its intended purpose, however, I liked the product, since I bought it specifically for these purposes. And since all irremovable doubts about a person’s guilt are interpreted in favor of the accused, I have no right to withdraw the ball. Period of use - 2 months. Rating:

Garnier fresh essentials refreshing toner for normal to combination skin enriched with grape extract
Photo:

Expanded opinion:

Garnier, as you know, is also one of the L'oreal brands, but more budget-friendly.
There is no point in swatching, since it is just clear water. In general, having chosen a good care for myself, I still could not help but use a toner, since I strictly follow the cleansing, toning, moisturizing regimen. It is very difficult to find a tonic in a men's care line. Therefore, without thinking twice, I took the most popular (as it seems to me), and therefore proven tonic from Garnier from the “Basic Care” line with grape seed extract. I think many of you have tried it. Plus, the green bottle with grapes looked very fresh for summer. The tonic promises cleansing and removal of toxins. Well, the latter is quite difficult to verify. But it cleans up the remains of the washbasin well. It also serves well for absorbing moisturizing gel. Having bought it for the first time along with a new care, I am now using at least the 4th bottle and bought it for future use. It seems like nothing special either, but it’s just a tonic that works, without stickiness or other troubles. The only thing I will note is that the smell of supposedly grapes is very chemical and the longer you use it, the more noticeable it is. I don't pay much attention to this and appreciate that the toner is affordable, affordable and fulfills my needs. Has a convenient dispenser. Duration of use: 4.5 months. Rating:

It seems that now my experiments with facial care have come to an end, because even if I am drawn to a new tempting bottle with golden promises, I think about how good my life is now and, what if, for example, shower gels, soap, lotion for bodies and so on can be changed to the extent of your desire, then facial care (according to many - the main part of our body) is not so easy to choose and, perhaps, you should not “go for” something new without being sure of a positive result .

PS To be honest, it wasn’t easy for me to write this post, because I’m afraid of being misunderstood. But the bottom line is that, in general, it doesn’t matter whether it’s men’s grooming or not, as long as it suits you. And the difference in fragrance can only serve as a reason to diversify your care and try something new. Of course, I don’t encourage everyone to rush out and use men’s products, but I just wanted to share my opinion. Perhaps the post will be useful to girls who are looking for something suitable for their halves or are simply interested in reading about someone else’s care.

All the best and thank you for your attention.

Consumer Reviews

When choosing cosmetics, many buyers are also guided by the opinions of other consumers. Peeling lotions L'Oreal Revitalift Laser x3 collects average reviews. But almost everyone praises L'Oreal for its stylish bottle design.

It is important that the peeling lotion does not cause allergic reactions and eliminates the problems for which it was purchased.

Some girls note that L'Oreal night peeling lotion does not eliminate inflammation. There are also users who do not like the texture or color of the product.

This girl does not use Alpha-Beta & Retinol Prepping lotion very often, and does it as her cosmetologist advises her.

Alpha Complex Face Lotion is also liked by many users because of the effect it has on the skin.

At the same time, there are girls who do not like the results of using this Holy Land peeling lotion.

The author of this review assessed the effectiveness of Renew Complex Peel Solution.

Consumer reviews of REVITALIFT LASER X3 peeling lotion series L'Oreal Paris

Cosmetics manufacturers always claim incredible results from the use of their products. But in practice, things are often not so rosy. It is much wiser not to rely on advertising, but to read consumer reviews. For those who are undecided whether to purchase Revitalift Laser x3 peeling lotion, positive and negative reviews of this product are collected below.

Positive reviews

Alina, 37 years old, Orenburg:

I have dry skin and the Revitalift Laser peeling lotion suited it perfectly. It does not dry out, small pimples and wrinkles have disappeared, the face looks fresh and smooth. True, I had to wait a week for the result, but I’m happy. If you want to try it, I advise you to buy it online, as the price is lower.

Maria, 41 years old, Moscow:

For my sensitive skin, L'Oreal peeling lotion is just what I need. In a couple of weeks, the relief smoothed out, the pores cleared, inflammation disappeared, and the face felt velvety to the touch.

Albina, 45 years old, Saratov:

I use the lotion in combination with other products in the line. In six weeks, pigment spots on the neck disappeared. A very profitable product, the price is reasonable, and due to its thick consistency it will last for a long time.

Lyudmila, 39 years old, Nizhny Novgorod:

Great exfoliator! Despite the significant concentration of hyaluronic acid, there is no discomfort or redness. After just a week, the skin is smooth, even, and the pores are clean. I can’t say anything about eliminating hyperpigmentation, but the small folds on my forehead have disappeared.

Negative reviews

Yana, 35 years old, St. Petersburg:

I purchased this facial peel to get rid of pigmentation, and it didn’t get rid of it! My skin looks radiant and my pores are clearer, but I could have purchased another product to get this done, which was what I needed to get rid of my dark spots! I don't recommend it to anyone. If you have the same problem as me, find something else, don't waste your time on L'Oreal lotion!

Elena, 47 years old, Orenburg:

For me it turned out to be rather weak. Wrinkles have become less pronounced, but have not disappeared. It had no effect on age spots at all. The only good thing about it is the price.

Olga, 45 years old, Gelendzhik:

It was recommended to me as a gentle anti-aging product for sensitive skin. Apparently, it is very delicate, because I did not see the effect declared by the manufacturer. I didn’t like that the skin felt sticky after application. Also, due to its thick texture, the lotion flows out of the bottle very slowly, you have to shake it hard.

Veronica, 38 years old, Kaliningrad:

I really don't like the jelly-like texture of the lotion. After application there is a sticky film on the face. Disgusting. I didn’t notice any particular effect either, the condition of my skin improved slightly and that’s all. The blackheads remained, as did the fine wrinkles.
