Modern technologies have made it possible to develop many modern methods for losing weight. You can use cryolipolysis, endermology, liposuction or cavitation. Body mesotherapy for weight loss is considered one of the most effective technologies. It allows you to correct local fat deposits by influencing the causative factor. The therapeutic effect of this technique helps improve blood circulation in a specific area of the body and regulates metabolic processes.

How does mesotherapy for weight loss work?

Mesotherapy is a procedure during which the skin is punctured with a needle to the level of the mesoderm. The puncture depth does not exceed 6 mm. Through it, microdoses of special medications designed to combat fat deposits are injected under the skin.

These mixtures cause increased lymph outflow and improved blood supply to the problem area. As a result, toxic substances and waste are eliminated from the body faster.

Compared with traditional surgeries, body mesotherapy for weight loss is much safer. At the same time, its effectiveness remains at a fairly high level. This technology is most valued for its ability to influence hard-to-reach areas that cannot be corrected through sports and proper nutrition. This is the back of the arms, the knees, the lower part of the buttocks, etc.

At its core, the mesotherapy procedure is very simple. Active substances are injected under the skin, causing the destruction of fat cells. During the breakdown of fat, a large amount of liquid is released. All elements resulting from decay are removed naturally. Enhanced tissue drainage also helps reduce volume.

Drugs administered for weight loss do not have an immediate effect and can accumulate, so you can see the effect of the procedure only after a few days, but it lasts for a certain time.

To achieve noticeable results, you will need 5-10 sessions. The duration of the course and its specifics will be determined by a specialist. It all depends on the individual characteristics of the person and the volume of his fat deposits. Between sessions there is usually a break of 7-10 days.

During the first procedures, fat deposits are actively removed, and further manipulations improve drainage and tighten the skin.

Body mesotherapy for weight loss is more of a medical technology, and therefore should be carried out in specialized clinics staffed by qualified specialists. Doing this procedure yourself is prohibited. If you want to improve your appearance at home, you can use a special needle roller that will allow you to inject the necessary products under the skin.

Metabolic processes deteriorate with age, so the subcutaneous fat layer gradually increases. Accordingly, even if you lose excess weight, the excess volume in some parts of the body will remain. For such problem areas, a local effect is needed that will remove fat folds and smooth the skin. Body mesotherapy for weight loss can help with this. Active drugs administered through injections into the middle layers of the dermis will significantly improve cellular metabolism.

Several sessions of this procedure will cause the following processes:

  • the membranes of the cells that make up the subcutaneous fat layer will dissolve;
  • solid fats will become emulsified, which are easier to remove from tissues;
  • microcirculation in the area of influence will improve;
  • Excess liquid will be removed from the treatment area;
  • the production of new collagen and elastin cells is activated.

Remember that it is impossible to get rid of general excess weight using mesotherapy. It will only improve the appearance of certain areas of the body by removing excessive volume in these places. This weight loss procedure will not give the desired result if the deficiency is caused by obesity of the internal organs or the location of excess lipids in deeper layers than the subcutaneous one.

Advantages and disadvantages of the procedure

Body mesotherapy for weight loss will help you if you want to get rid of sagging and wrinkled skin, cellulite or other cosmetic imperfections (rosacea, scars, etc.).

A number of advantages of this technique make it possible to distinguish it from all other cosmetic procedures:

  • no surgical intervention;
  • high efficiency of the result and speed of its manifestation;
  • the body mesotherapy procedure is physiological, low-traumatic and almost painless;
  • strictly local effect of drugs without affecting the entire body;
  • minimum age restrictions;
  • duration of manifestation of the results obtained after body mesotherapy;
  • minimum contraindications;
  • low risk of complications and side effects;
  • Excellent compatibility with other cosmetic procedures.

Each method for losing weight has its disadvantages , and mesotherapy is no exception:

  • Risk of infection. Of course, it exists and is quite high, because this procedure involves puncturing the skin. It is advisable to find out before the first session how sanitary and hygienic requirements are observed in the selected clinic.
  • The pain of the procedure and its consequences. A person may experience pain, and after the session, the treatment area will appear red and bruised for several days.
  • Allergic reactions. Due to the possible occurrence of allergic reactions, it is important to do an allergy test before starting all manipulations.
  • Temporary effect. After introducing the meso-cocktail, its substances act on fat deposits for some time, breaking them down. Over time, the medicinal drug is eliminated from the body, and the figure may return to its previous state if you do not take care of your shape and do not maintain it with physical exercise and proper nutrition.
  • High cost of sessions. It should be understood that the work of a professional doctor and high-quality certified meso-cocktails are quite expensive. You can't skimp on your health. The low price of the procedure may indicate that the technology for performing the manipulations is being violated or that low-quality drugs are being used.

Types of mesotherapy

Body mesotherapy for weight loss is divided into hardware and fractional. Compared to the classical method of administering therapeutic agents, the fractional method involves targeted treatment of a certain part of the problem area. This technique is especially good for eliminating small defects, such as stretch marks.

Depending on the method of drug administration, the procedure can be non-injection, manual or hardware.

  1. Manual.

A method where the drug enters the skin through an injection made with a regular syringe with a thin needle.

  1. Hardware.

The drug is administered using a gun (mesoinjector), which consists of a needle and a syringe bottle. In this case, the penetration depth is strictly fixed.

  1. Injection-free.

If a person is afraid of injections or is afraid of contracting any infection, this method will be an excellent alternative, since it does not imply a violation of the integrity of the skin.

There are laser mesotherapy, electrophoresis (injection of funds occurs under the influence of a weak current), oxygen technique (when the penetration of the drug is facilitated by an oxygen stream), ultrasound (it itself has a rejuvenating effect and also improves the conductivity of substances into the skin), cryomesotherapy (exposure through cold ).

A mesoscooter, or dermaroller, is a special device in the form of a roller equipped with thin steel needles and attached to a special handle. In some modifications, steel needles can be replaced with needles made of an alloy containing precious metals.

When using a mesoscooter, they are guided by the acupuncture principles of the effect on the skin. This device ensures that the beneficial and nutritious substances of the meso cocktail are absorbed faster and in greater volume. In addition, the body's production of elastin and collagen is activated.

The advantages of a mesoscooter are:

  • the ability to use at home without visiting studios and beauty salons;
  • efficiency of skin treatment with the device;
  • safety, since small punctures left by needles become invisible after just a few hours;
  • maintaining the integrity of the protective layer of the skin (epidermis);
  • affordable cost of the device;
  • ease of use;
  • Possibility of use in areas with increased skin sensitivity and without creams with an anesthetic effect;
  • the ability to partially replace types of cosmetic procedures such as peeling or laser dermabrasion.

As a result of using a mesoscooter, you will restore smoothness and elasticity to your skin.

Mesotherapy in figure rehabilitation after childbirth

A separate group of indications for mesotherapy should include figure rehabilitation after childbirth. It is important to understand that figure rehabilitation is a multifaceted and complex process, in which it is very important to correctly place the emphasis. All layers of tissue that form the anterior wall of the abdomen require restoration. The deepest layer is represented by muscles and aponeurosis; Above the muscles there is subcutaneous fatty tissue, and the most superficial layer is the skin.

When drawing up a body rehabilitation program after childbirth, it is necessary to take into account the degree and specificity of changes in each layer of tissue of the anterior abdominal wall. Physical exercises are used to strengthen the muscle layer. If they are not effective enough, or if there is a separation of the rectus muscles, you can resort to plastic surgery and perform minimally invasive endoscopic abdominoplasty. During the operation, the plastic surgeon sutures the rectus abdominis muscles and solves the aesthetic problem caused by their discrepancy.

As for the skin, it is impossible to restore its elastic properties with plastic surgery. Yes, abdominoplasty partly solves the problem by excision of excess covering tissue, but women rarely decide to resort to such radical measures. Moreover, safe and painless abdominal mesotherapy is an excellent alternative.

Injections of rejuvenating cocktails contribute to the rapid renewal of the cellular composition and intercellular substance of the dermis. As a result of the activation of physiological regeneration processes, the elasticity and firmness of the skin returns. Skin sagging disappears. Body mesotherapy successfully solves the problem of stretch marks - unaesthetic stretch marks on the anterior abdominal wall.

Body mesotherapy is an effective way to rejuvenate the skin of the abdomen, which can and should be used in comprehensive body rehabilitation programs after childbirth to quickly restore beauty, youth and sexuality!

Mesothreads for the body

Mesothreads are an excellent alternative to drastic methods of correcting shapes for those who are afraid of full-fledged plastic surgery. They can restore the lost volume of your body and give you a youthful appearance. In this case, absorbable threads made of polydioxanone and hyaluronic acid are used, creating a visually invisible frame. Thanks to this, the skin of the body is tightened without surgical intervention. Since the body's production of collagen is stimulated, the achieved effect lasts for 20 months. Moreover, the procedure itself only takes half an hour.

Using special thin long needles, the drug is injected in microscopic doses into the problem area of the body.

Subcutaneous injections are made to a depth of 0.5–5 mm depending on the following parameters:

  1. Extent of the problem.
  2. The area of the body where the defect is present.
  3. The desire to obtain a certain result.

The composition of mesopreparations may include the following substances:

  • multivitamin complexes;
  • amino acids;
  • minerals;
  • vascular drugs;
  • eutrophics.

Mesotherapy preparations for weight loss

The selection of means for body mesotherapy for weight loss depends on the individual characteristics of the person and the characteristics of the problem being solved.

There are several groups of drugs used for different purposes:

  1. Lipolitics are substances that stimulate the process of lipolysis (the breakdown of fat molecules). With their help you can get rid of cellulite and eliminate local fat deposits.
  2. Enzymes are substances that affect the structure of connective tissue. They can correct some skin features due to the fact that they are able to loosen scar tissue and connective adhesions between the lobules of adipose tissue.
  3. Drugs that stimulate the synthesis of collagen and elastin allow you to tighten the dermis, providing a lifting effect. They have proven themselves to be excellent in the fight against skin sagging associated with aging or weight loss.
  4. Vascular drugs are used if there are manifestations of edematous cellulite or vascular weakness. They provide a drainage effect, increase lymph outflow and strengthen the walls of blood vessels, improving blood circulation.

Vitamins and microelements can act as medicine, although they have their own indications and contraindications.

During the session, either one drug or a mixed composition, which is called a meso-cocktail, can be used. A competent specialist will be able to choose the best option based on the person’s problem and his characteristics. The combination of several substances in one collection can significantly increase the effectiveness of the entire procedure.

Complications of lipolytic administration -

Local complications when working with the aggressive lipolytic deoxycholate are the formation of dense infiltrates and local fibrous compactions in the soft tissues. You should take into account that the more often you do courses of body mesotherapy for weight loss with deoxycholate, the more areas of fibrosis there will be in the fatty tissue. In turn, fibrosis of the pancreas will reduce the effectiveness of all subsequent courses of lipolytics, and without a cannula in the future it will be much more difficult to achieve a good effect.

If there are errors in calculating the volume of the drug and the depth of administration, very severe inflammatory reactions can occur. In addition, on the thighs or any areas with not too thick adipose tissue, the administration of deoxycholate can lead to a “washboard” effect. Those. There will be a focal decrease in the amount of fat with a change in the relief of the skin surface. Therefore, the safest local areas for administering deoxycholate are the stomach and sides.

You will also certainly have hematomas after injections (this always happens), and also a complication can also be understood as the lack of effect from the course of treatment. Considering all of the above, it is very important to understand which specialist you are seeing and what this specialist has the right to do for you.

An important question: which specialists have the right to perform lipolytic injections?

First of all, you should first make sure that the specialist you are visiting has the right to practice mesotherapy. It is good if mesotherapy is performed by a doctor, i.e. specialist with higher medical education. But in most cases, nurses work as mesotherapists. In order for a nurse to receive the right to practice mesotherapy, she must complete the following two training courses for advanced training - 1) “nursing in cosmetology”, 2) a training course in mesotherapy.

Let me draw your attention to the fact that the right to practice mesotherapy does not appear after any training course in mesotherapy, but only if it is a standardized course that complies with the program approved by the Ministry of Education. Such a course must last at least 32 hours, and after its completion, a certificate of an established (state) standard is issued on paper with watermarks (Fig. 17). All other courses and certificates do not give the right to engage in this type of activity.

What should a standard mesotherapy certificate look like?

In addition, there is also such a profession as “cosmetologist-esthetician,” which means that such a specialist can only give you facial massage, masks and peelings. That is, this is not even a health worker at all. However, in an effort to earn money, many training centers teach mesotherapy even to such “specialists” who do not even have a secondary medical education (thus violating the law). Therefore, you should make sure that you are at least not a cosmetologist-esthetician when doing lipolytic injections.

Separately, it is worth mentioning the administration of lipolytics by cannulas. This is a more complex technique, and mesotherapists with secondary medical education do not have the right to do this; they can only administer lipolytics by injection. Only doctors can legally work with cannulas, i.e. specialists with higher medical education (cosmetologists, surgeons).

Indications and contraindications for body mesotherapy for weight loss

To combat cellulite, mesotherapy can be performed on almost the entire body. The greatest attention is paid to problem areas where the manifestations of orange peel are very pronounced.

The popularity of the technology is explained by the high efficiency of this service.

Experts recommend using this method when:

  • overweight;
  • combating zonal subcutaneous fat deposits;
  • weakening of turgor, flabbiness and sagging;
  • “parchment” skin;
  • age-related pigmentation;
  • elimination of postpartum stretch marks, marks and scars from operations, wounds and acne;
  • weakening of blood circulation.

These defects can be removed in different ways, but sometimes body mesotherapy for weight loss seems to be the only suitable option, since its use does not require an outpatient regime. All manipulations are performed in a specific problem area, and the method itself has no age restrictions.

To ensure that this procedure does not harm your health, it is important to remember the contraindications to body mesotherapy for weight loss.

Local contraindications:

  • Infectious and inflammatory processes at the treatment site. If there are signs of a viral or bacterial skin disease in the area where the drug is administered, then manipulation of this area of the body can cause the infection to spread. First of all, cure the dermis and only after that start weight loss sessions. The exception is options for treating infectious and inflammatory processes using mesotherapy.
  • Recurrent herpes. If you know that the intended treatment area is often a carrier of herpetic eruptions, be very careful with injections, as they may cause an aggravation.
  • Peels have a deep effect on the skin, so if you have had a laser peel less than one month ago or a medium chemical peel in the past two weeks, it is better to avoid mesotherapy until the skin is completely restored.

General contraindications:

  • Epilepsy, increased convulsive readiness. Skin irritation from a needle in a person with this disease can cause an attack.
  • Hemophilia and other serious bleeding disorders, as well as the period of treatment with drugs that reduce this indicator. If for some reason coagulation is impaired, then during cosmetic manipulations the risk of hematomas or prolonged bleeding increases, even when using very thin needles.
  • Period of treatment with photosensitizing drugs. Some medications (tetracyclines, fluoroquinolones, etc.) increase skin sensitivity to ultraviolet radiation. Accordingly, if you make injections in the sunny season, pinpoint hyperpigmentation may remain at the injection site.
  • Diseases accompanied by increased body temperature, colds, chronic diseases during their exacerbation. At this time, any cosmetic procedures are not recommended, including mesotherapy for cosmetic reasons.
  • Pathological fear of needles. If you have a strong fear of injections, you should evaluate the degree of need for manipulation, since the psychological trauma resulting from the session can be much more serious and outweigh all the advantages of the cosmetic effect of mesotherapy.
  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding. Pregnancy is a condition of a woman’s body in which any interventions in its functioning should be carried out only if necessary. Mesotherapy performed for cosmetic reasons is not such a need.
  • Individual intolerance, allergy to the components of the administered drugs. The range of substances that can be used in body mesotherapy for weight loss is very large. Each of them has its own indications and contraindications.

Consequences of the mesotherapy procedure

Despite the fact that body mesotherapy for weight loss is highly effective, you should remember the possible consequences that may occur after the session.

The preparatory stage involves assessing the condition of the skin and the volume of fat deposits. Based on the information received, the specialist selects a composition for weight loss and determines its dosage. On average, from one to three ampoules of the drug are used per session. You must first do an allergy test. For this purpose, a little meso-cocktail is injected into the forearm, and after some time the result is assessed. If any deviations from the normal reaction occur, the patient is referred for additional examination.

It is important to avoid taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and medications containing acetylsalicylic acid three days before the procedure. In addition, it is prohibited to drink alcohol and perform any cosmetic procedures (including simple application of cosmetics) in the problem area.

Stages of the procedure:

  1. Identification of problem areas, their cleansing and treatment with antiseptics.
  2. Pain relief using special external agents.
  3. Direct injection of the composition into the problem area. The drug is injected along lines coinciding with the direction of the lymphatic and blood vessels.
  4. Applying a soothing and anti-inflammatory cream in the form of a cream to the manipulation area.

Often after the procedure, burning, itching, swelling, bruising or redness of the treated area may occur. This is a normal reaction for the first three days. If such disturbances do not go away after three days, you should consult a doctor.

The third stage – tightening

As a rule, this stage takes 3 procedures - with an interval of 1 week between them. The task of this stage is to tighten the skin that has sagged a little after reducing the volume of fat deposits (24stoma.ru). Good express lifting can be achieved using preparations with 3% DMAE (for example, “Silor DM”). Additionally, you can use amino acids, peptides, and vitamins. Carrying out a main vascular puncture at this stage is carried out as desired and necessary.

Additionally, at this stage, to tighten the skin at home, you can use the DermaPen device, or a special mesoscooter for the body with a needle length of 2.5 mm. This will further increase the effect of injections of skin-tightening mesopreparations at the third stage.

Thus, the entire course lasts 12 procedures: at the first stage we do 3 procedures, at the second stage 6 procedures (more if necessary), + 3 procedures at the third stage. But as we said above, for very obese people 12 procedures will certainly not be enough, and people weighing more than 100 kg may require 3-4 times more procedures than in the standard lipocorrection course we described. For such patients, there is only the first stage, at which we perform only a main + local lymphatic drainage injection without the use of lipolytics - normally it should last from 5 to 10 procedures.

Recommendations for further care

To ensure that this weight loss method gives maximum effect and side effects do not bother you, you should follow some recommendations:

  • Immediately after the procedure, rest for half an hour, drinking at least half a liter of clean water.
  • Apply cooling bandages to the treatment area for several days after the session. This will prevent redness.
  • It is prohibited to visit the bathhouse, solarium, beach and swimming pool during the course of mesotherapy sessions and several days after them.
  • It is not advisable to conduct active training at this time.
  • You should regularly apply healing creams or gels to the treated areas (for example, you can use Bepanten).
  • If crusts appear on injection sites, you should never peel them off, otherwise scars may remain.
  • It is not recommended to carry out procedures during menstruation in women, as pain sensitivity increases at this time. Better wait for it to finish.
  • Open meso cocktail for weight loss is intended for one-time use only, so it is important to ensure its quality. To do this, make sure that during the session the doctor opens a new ampoule with the drug in front of you.

Recovery period

The recovery period after mesotherapy for facial skin and hair is minimal. The usual precautions are the same as after any other injection procedure:

  • Do not wash your face in the first 8 hours after the procedure; if necessary, it is better to treat your face with an antiseptic (not alcohol!);
  • Avoid cosmetics for 1-2 days;
  • For 2-3 days you need to give up the sauna, steam bath, hot bath and swimming pool;
  • It is better to postpone sports for the same 2-3 days;
  • Within 5-7 days after mesotherapy, you should not visit or carry out aggressive cosmetic procedures - for example, it is better to postpone chemical acid peeling to a later date;
  • You should avoid visiting the solarium for the entire course of mesotherapy.

How much does body mesotherapy for weight loss cost?

The price of body mesotherapy for weight loss by injection depends on several factors. No one will give you a definite answer about the cost of a session without first studying a number of factors.

The most common myths about body mesotherapy for weight loss

Myth No. 1. Mesotherapy is only suitable for those who…

The age at which body mesotherapy for weight loss may be needed is determined based on the individual characteristics of the body. Each person develops in his own way. Some people experience skin problems as early as 18 years of age, while others begin to experience problems only after 35 years of age.

Remember that mesoprocedures for weight loss are the most gentle among all cosmetic services.

However, according to statistics, the average age when the first signs of skin aging become noticeable ranges from 22 to 30 years. This period is considered optimal for starting mesotherapy. It is undesirable to start using this method too early, because the drugs cause some addiction to the skin, and it gradually ceases to independently maintain itself in tone.

Myth No. 2. A couple of mesotherapy sessions and you can forget about cellulite!

This statement is not entirely true.

In the fight against cellulite, you should not rely solely on mesotherapy sessions. Only an integrated approach combined with proper nutrition, diet, exercise and anti-cellulite massage will help cope with this difficult problem.

A comprehensive program will improve blood circulation, activate the process of cell regeneration and enhance the production of your own elastin. Together with mesoprocedures for weight loss, these actions will allow you to achieve maximum results.

Myth No. 3. Mesotherapy can replace any cosmetic procedure.

Of course this is a myth.

Despite the high effectiveness of body mesotherapy for weight loss, it should be understood that it cannot solve all problems. There are other cosmetic procedures that can significantly improve the appearance of the human body. These include photorejuvenation, chemical peeling, thermolifting, botulinum toxin injection, darsonvalization, etc. Each of these methods gives its own excellent results, which cannot be replaced by mesotherapy.

Myth No. 4. If you are afraid of injections, there is nothing to think about the mesotherapy procedure.

Even if a person is afraid of pain and injections, modern pain relief methods help many overcome their fears on the path to losing weight. There are special creams with lidocaine that significantly reduce pain when administering mesococktails.

The most sensitive area for injections is the area around the eyes. In this case, redness and bruising from the injections can last up to seven days.

Myth No. 5. After mesotherapy, you can get such complications that mom, don’t worry!

There are practically no side effects if the method of administering the drug was not violated and the weight loss cocktail was selected correctly.

The consequences of the procedure and complications should not be confused. It is normal if at first there is swelling of the skin, slight bruising, pallor or local soreness. Such phenomena pass in two to three days, leaving no traces.

Myth No. 6. If you constantly do mesotherapy procedures, your skin will begin to age quickly.

It is a myth. The skin ages on its own, and this process can be accelerated by exposure to sunlight, poor nutrition, various diseases, and bad habits. Mesoprocedures for weight loss, on the contrary, stop, rather than accelerate, it. They help the dermis to better produce elastin and collagen. As a result, a framework of our skin is created that keeps it in good condition.

Myth No. 7. If you do mesotherapy constantly, you can get hooked on its needle...

Mesococktails do not contain drugs that cause physical addiction to the body. Perhaps we are talking about the fact that a person who enters a salon, where he is greeted by friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere, enjoys caring for his skin, body and hair. As a result, some psychological addiction develops.

Myth No. 8. Nothing bad will happen if you drink a little alcohol after mesotherapy procedures.

This is a very dangerous myth. Alcohol greatly dilates blood vessels, so mesomedicines are not absorbed by the body. As a result, the desired effect is not achieved and additional sessions may be required.

In addition, the usual consequences of sessions in the form of minor swelling and bruising can be aggravated by alcohol intake, leading to even greater defects. It is unlikely that such a prospect will make you happy.

How is the procedure done?

A mesotherapy session begins with the master examining the treated area, identifying problems that need to be eliminated, and also selecting the composition of the meso-cocktail that will be effective in this case.

Then the skin is cleansed, treated with a disinfectant solution of Chlorhexidine, and an anesthetic is used if necessary.

The device is filled with a selected composition and a procedure is carried out in which small needles penetrate the skin and inject a meso-cocktail into it. Typically, one mesotherapy session takes up to forty minutes.

After this, the skin is re-cleaned and treated with Chlorhexidine.
